DIY: Girly Bow

Ok, let me just up front say how sorry I am for my photography skills. I need lessons. Bad.

This is very simple, but can make the cutest little bow you’ve ever seen! Let’s do this. First, grab your supplies: sewing machine, thread, scissors, iron, and a piece of fabric measuring 22″ x 3″.

First, fold your fabric in half, where the 3″ raw edges line up on one side, right sides together. Then, sew around the whole rectangle, leaving the 3″ raw edge side open.

Next, you clip the corners on the sewn edge and turn right side out.
Fold in [to the pocket you’ve created] the raw edges on the open end and press the whole rectangle. After that, simply topstitch around the entire rectangle.
After that, begin tying a knot in the center of your rectangle. Don’t pull it tight, but instead just form the bow around a loose knot.
And, voila! you have you’re adorable bow! See, I told you it was easy!
Now, just attach it to a headband, clip, clutch, or wherever you see fit for your new bow!
If you make any, I’d love to see your creations! 🙂

Happy sewing this weekend!
