a refurbished cabinet: feeding my obsession with chalkboard paint

Another cute project I’ve been working on for Michele at the flower shop is an old cabinet that she’s had in her shop for FOREVER. She’s finally getting around to fixing it up, and asked me to do the honors.
I painted the sides green and the front with chalkboard paint {i LOVE chalkboard paint} for us to write messages to one another and to greet the customers.
I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out.
before & boring
after & fabulous
a closeup of those CUTE burlap knobs.
The back of the cabinet faces our work area and we covered it with cork board and trimmed it with some cute black and white ribbon. Its perfect for our calendars and other odds and ends that we need to see on the daily!

Its such a fun new addition to the shop and I love the way it turned out!

What a great revamp project!! I love it! 🙂 That’s a truly wonderful way to use space. The front AND back is functional. Great work, Caroline! 😀

and I need some of that chalkboard paint! lol!

  2. I LOVE that idea! this makes me want to look on Craigslist for an old armoire to put in our “dining room”. super cute!

  3. I love this project! Love the colors, the burlap knobs and espceially the back! I have a similar armoire to redo and I might just do the back too!
