spring has sprung in the south, y’all.

I love Spring for a lot of reasons.
The sun starts to shine, the temperature is at that perfect 75* mark, I can sit on the patio & work on the computer (all while getting a tan!).

I have been so inspired in my sewing room lately and I think it is because Spring is upon us! Here are some of the projects I’ve been working on…
1. over the shoulder bag made entirely out of scraps (yes, I know what you’re thinking. and yes I have entirely too many scraps). possibly my most favorite handmade project I have ever completed & will be perfect four our trip to Disney World in a couple of days!
(pssst… I am taking custom orders for these beauties. shoot me an email if you’re interested in pricing and whatnot 🙂 caroline(at)sewcaroline(dot)com)
2. a spring//summer dress with tie straps AND shirring! (DIY coming soon!)
3. spring-inspred skirt complete with a floral print! (the top fabric is from a michael miller line called secret garden & the bottom is a line from moda called ruby!)
4. tshirt revamp with a patchwork type pattern on the back made of voile fabrics (DIY coming to ya soon!)
5. a felt fabric bouquet that lasts all year long! (DIY also coming soon)
what projects are YOU working on? have you gotten the spring fever yet?

linking up with Gussy today for her inspiration workshop!

  1. Moda’s Ruby line is one of my all time favorites but I’m so afraid of the stripes and getting them seamed perfect haha! Beautiful work!

  2. Such cute ideas! I love the Spring too. We’ve been getting close to the 80’s and I love not having to wear a sweater to work!
