This is a fun project to do with fabric scraps and takes practically no time or skills at all! Promise 🙂
Multi-sized beads (I got big tribal looking wooden ones– super cheap!)
Scissors /or/ rotary cutter
first cut your strips at 3.75″ by however long you’d like them. I did 5 strips of about 15″. This is a good length, but depending on how long you’d like your necklace, you can change the size accordingly!
Place the strips right sides together and sew along the short end. Do this for all strips of fabric until you have one looooong strip of scraps.
now you’ll have a long tube casing. Starting at one end, clip a safety pin on the end and push through until you reach the other side.
Repeat this as often as you’d like throughout the entire casing. I added another bead every 4.5″ and varied the beads in size.
When you finish adding beads. Stick one end of the casing inside the other (tuck in the other’s raw edges) and topstitch across the top. Now you’ve got a necklace!
