DIY from Mandy of Debonair Bandit

Please be patient. The lovely Aileen is working on updating my blog design!

SO, I have recently become obsessed with all things nautical.
I just love it. The colors, the anchors, the rope, etc. Its just so fun.
A couple of months ago, Mandy instagrammed a cute nautical themed bracelet she had made & I wanted my readers to see it!
I had originally planned to have an entire week dedicated to all things NAUTICAL, but, you know… time and life got in the way… so that didn’t happen!
Here’s Mandy to show you this super cute & fun DIY!
Hello! I am Mandi and I blog over at {Debonair Bandit} Here and I have a fun shop on Etsy Here. I am a stay at home momma to two sweet little girls and wife to the awesome Mr. Durborough. I am a lover of crafts and carry this passion to create beautiful things. I am constantly evolving myself and bettering this one beautiful life I have to live. Today I get to bring you a little tutorial and I want to thank the amazing Caroline for having me on her amazing blog. I have been a fan for a while, so being on here is truly amazing and such an honor.

Jewelry is everywhere. It can be made from anything. If it’s pretty, it is considered jewelry art. I love jewelry, but I never have the money to buy it. I have my favorites that I wear often, but getting “new” jewelry is rare. Recently however, I could not seem to fight off the itch for some new accessories, so one day I finally decided to get crafty. I took all my old jewelry that I never wear and decided to re-purpose it. My favorite was the Anchor bracelet.
I had a pair of anchor earrings and some old gold chains. I then spray painted the anchor gold to match and then applied a heat resistant top coat {totally optional}. You could also use a nail polish top coat if you have that {it will work just as well}.

Step one. Cut desired chain length {mine was 7 inches with the anchor on it}

Step two. Follow picture directions to lay bracelet over the wrist and wrap the end of the chain around the two “hooks” of the anchor.
Step three. Wear it
Step four. Repeat step three

I’m turning off comments so you can go visit her on HER blog!
