Happy Monday, folks! Today has started off slowly because it is R A I N I N G. Crazy, right? Rain is something that is somewhat of a commodity here in Texas in the heat of the summer… we will take it, though. It helps keep our grass green and the lakes filled!

This weekend was a relaxing one over here, I hope you felt the same! Saturday was filled with lazy mornings and doing nothing in our jammies most of the day. I love occasional days like those. They’re good for the soul.

Behind the scenes at Sew Caroline we’ve been working hard to get a couple of more patterns produced. More on those later this week, but lemme just say.. I’m loving how our little collection is turning out. Thanks for letting me do what I love <3.

Today I’m excited to share a new pattern company to you: Selvage Designs. Lauren, the owner/creator/awesome person behind the brand has become a dear friend of mine. I’ve learned a lot about business through her and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing her online course, Pattern Workshop, pattern shop, Selvage Designs, AND blog, BASTE + GATHER blow up over the past few months. She is a fabulous and talented maker and I’m thrilled to be sharing with you all her very first women’s wear pattern that was released just last week.

The FOXGLOVE tank features a racer back design with a hi-low hemline. The instructions include many different finishing methods, alterations you can make, and and options for the novice or expert seamstress. I started and completed the FOXGLOVE in a little under two hours. It was such an easy sew! The pattern allows you to create this tank using a woven OR a knit fabric.. and there are instructions included for each! How lovely is that?!

I chose to sew my FOXGLOVE with my Gleeful Untangled Ribbon knit and used a self-made woven bias tape around the neckline and armholes. What do you think of how it turned out?

I hope your week is turning out lovely. Happy SUMMER, folks!

  1. Love it!!
You did great job with binding
I do have a question re the back
Are the armhole openings in the back high enough to wear a regular bra???
Need to know for the well endowed women out here where I probably near the top of the list!!!
