Kimono with FRINGE ((insert heart eyes emoji here))

I first shared this tutorial with you about a year ago (see original post here) and since that day, thousands of you have downloaded the freebie pattern and sewn your own! I can see why, since it’s such a SIMPLE pattern that can be thrown together in an afternoon (easily!). PLUS, there’s so much room for making it your own: insert F R I N G E.

I’ve been obsessing over pom pom trim lately, and in an effort to make a project WITHOUT IT, I opted to grab some fringe this time instead. AND GUESS WHAT? I LOVE IT! I think the white fringe makes the Happy Home voile just pop, don’t you?

I used the pattern that was featured in the Spring 2015 Stitch magazine for this project (also a video tutorial for it on Craft Daily!). It is a modified version (with lots of different options and add-ons) of the freebie pattern on my blog.

Oh, and say hello to my 24 week belly.. hehe!Sew Caroline Kimono // Kimono3 Sew Caroline Kimono // SewCaroline.comClick over here to download the free PDF pattern!

Fabric: Happy Home Table Flowers Cheer in the voile substrate, fringe found at Jo-Ann Fabrics // Saltwater Sandals (LOVE THEM!)

  1. I love it, it is so cute, but I would have to have mine longer to cover my big fanny all the way up, and you are just so adorable with that beautiful glow of motherhood on your face. GOD Bless
